A day ago, Black Motion fans were shaken by rumours that the group had split. This assumption was made after Murdah Bongz rebranded to Morda and would be taking separate gigs from his other half Thabo Smol.

Seeing how Murdah Bongz, or is it Morda, spends a lot of his time with his girlfriend DJ Zinhle, many thought the independent artist thing rubbed off on him and she influenced his decision to break away from the group.

Soon after the rumours, Zinhle topped the trends list with people threatening to cancel her until the group 'reforms.' But she does not care very much of the hate and she gave hilarious clap backs to the trolls who dragged her.

At first she said, "Weee bhatata," which is a Zulu expression for when a person is mockingly saying 'whatever.' Then the DJ continued promoting her business Era By DJ Zinhle and mized the drama.

But she then threw shade at the people dragging her and said next thing she will be blamed for the petrol hiking. "Next thing y’all are gonna blame me for the increase in petrol prices…Minding my business, my business is  @erabydjzinhle & these new necklaces & earrings we just launched. Nami athi ngibhale #zinhle Weeee."

Then her fans poked fun at her and said they blamed her for them looking good because of the Era By DJ Zinhle jewelry.

Trolls continued mocking her and said she should cancelled and not get any gigs because of the Black Motion apparent split, but she bragged about her busy schedule, claiming to be booked left right and centre.
When quizzed about their apparent split, Murdah Bongz said no and reacted by saying the news was crap. The duo released a statement putting all rumours to rest.

This is not the first time assumptions of a split came up. After the release of their album The Healers: The Last Chapter in 2020, they hinted at breaking up saying they closed one chapter and are opening another one. Speaking to  Sowetan, the duo said, “The story has unfolded like a book and the albums we have released over the years have been chapters,” Smol told the publication.

“This is the last chapter of the first 10 years and now we are moving into a new book. This is us saying we are closing the book of trying to establish our mark in the industry and we are moving on to a more comfortable zone of artistic freedom.”

The couple who have a baby together Asante are doing big things together. Together they are the face of Drip's new fragrance line called Finnesse. Finesse, is said to be a his and hers collection which consists of Arion and Ruby. They both retail for R599.

Who better to represent the brand than dynamic love duo, Zinhle and Bongani. In a joint statement to TshisaLIVE, they likened the Drip success story to their successful love story.

“We both love a phenomenal success story, especially a South African story. For us, the Drip brand embodies black excellence and business owners. We are inspired by the work they are doing to expand their portfolio with Finesse.”

Lekau Sehoana who is the CEO of Drip also said this about the dynamic duo, “They are recognised individually for being standout musicians with statement fashion trends and together as a dynamic love duo. We chose Murdah Bongz and DJ Zinhle as Drip Finesse muses because they both embody the essence of the brand and the scents,” he said.

“At The Drip Group  we are always looking at innovating the brand to make the future a reality, and this is how Finesse was born. Through our meticulous dedication to collaboration, we have created this range and we're proud to introduce two new perfume trendsetters across the country. ”
