Season 2 of Gomora premiered Monday the 26th of April after the main cast members bid farewell to a successful first season. Katlego Danke shared her excitement for the beginning of yet another chapter, “Over a year ago we started something amazing- tonight we see the end of a chapter but the exciting beginning of a new one. Join us for Season 2 of #gomora”

Thembi Seete
wrote, “Big thank you, love, hugs, and kisses to everyone who watched and supported #Gomora Season 1 your support and love mean a whole lot to us cast and crew…Thank you so much, guys. Today we are saying goodbye to Gomora season 1. I had so much fun, it’s hard for me to except that it’s the end of season 1.”

Now as season two is well under way, more drama is set to erupt as Teddy's father comes into the picture. Yes, you heard that right, Teddy's biological father, Don is coming back to his life. Don will be played by the very talented Israel Zulu who told Daily Sun that he will be appearing very soon but his character will last for a year.

Don was apparently involved with a very rich woman, who has now died. He is now struggling so he returns with his daughter to Gomora and will be a disruption.

“I’ll be playing Don. He had a relationship with Zodwa, played by Sannah Mchunu, and they had Teddy. He dumped Zodwa for a rich woman and went to live in mansions. Unfortunately, the woman recently died,” he told the paper.

“Now he’s down and out as the wife’s family took everything and he has returned to Alex. He’ll come back with his daughter Sibongile. Don will also be competition for Mam’Sonto, played by Connie Chiume.

"He struggles a lot after returning and ends up getting into hijacking. Soon he starts taking over Sonto’s operations,"
he said, adding that people will love him and his sense of humour.

"Don is coming to take over but people will love him because he’s funny. There will be sadness, sorrow, action and more importantly, drama.”
