Jub Jub has rocked the nation with his latest controversial interview. His aim was to share his side of multiple stories and clear his name in the public eye. But we bet he didn't foresee disastrous consequences following his interview, as the rapper has just lost his job because of it.

Moja Love, the channel that hosts Jub Jub's show Uyajola 9/9, has released a statement distancing itself from him. First, they denied playing any part in his interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, avoiding culpability for any statements he made thereon.

They then proceeded to strongly state that they do not condone gender based violence. Following the backlash surrounding the rapper's interview, they will be suspending him from his duties as the host of the investigative show.
The announcement has been met with a lot of mixed reactions on social media. Some tweeps feel strongly that the suspension is not enough for someone accused of crimes of such magnitude. They think he should be fired directly. They believe what he has shown is a pattern, because this is not the first time he is accused of gender based violence and sexual assault.

Others, on the other hand, think that the punishment is too hasty and too harsh. They are wondering what happened to being innocent until proven guilty. But as proponents pointed out, that only applies to the law, and he is only suspended, not fired. Even so, the rapper's fans think the channel should at least wait for investigations to be completed before they act.

Yet another group of tweeps believes that the move is only a show of PR by the channel, and that the suspension probably won't stick. They think he will find a way to sneak back onto our televisions, as others before him, including Somizi Mhlongo, have done in the past.

Tweeps came out strongly to condemn Jub Jub for the accusations leveled against him. In fact, others feel like the public has been too kind to him since he returned from prison. One pointed out that it's ironic people are worked up over his suspension, when many who have been to prison like him wouldn't have been given the same opportunities he has had.

They also remember that his sentence was allegedly way shorter than it was supposed to be, and are now calling for some accountability on that front.

One interview has resulted in a bigger saga than anyone could have expected, and now we wait to see where the chips will fall.
