He shared a video of the room he has been admitted to, and we can see his luggage bags on top of the bed.  As a result of not feeling well for the past couple of months, Lasizwe has decided to take this break to focus on his mental health.

He captioned the post "One thing about me, I am not shy to express how I feel. I have checked myself into a Mental Health Wellness Facility. I haven't been okay for the past months. I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this 1 on 1," he shared.

His fans took to the comment section to wish him a speedy recovery and commended him for this brave decision. TV host and rapper Boity Thulo has also showed love to him saying sharing this will give more people the courage to fight their mental health issues. "Thank you for sharing this. And being so honest. It’s going to give so many people courage to be honest with Theo selves as well," she commented.

Here are some of the reactions.

"That's great always take care of yourself and your mental health. Wish you a speed recovery sweerie,"

"This is leadership Lasizwe.. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Not shying away from being real and protecting your mental health.. Blessings to you on your journey."

"Well done Lasizwe, takes a lot to go and even more to share, I’m really proud of you. Sending virtual hugs,"

"So proud of you for taking care of ur mental wellness. Self care is very important,"

This is not the first time Lasizwe has opened up about his mental health struggles. Last year he deactivated his social media accounts saying he had lost his authentic self and had become too fake. He asked his fans to pray for him.

"I’ve lost my true authentic self! I have become fake and plastic! The fame monster has gotten a hold of me! What you can do for me is to pray for me! Honestly please pray for me! It would really help," he wrote.

"With that being said with immediate effect I am deleting all my social media applications and beginning a journey of self-discovery."

He later broke his silence about the short hiatus, and thanked everyone who sent him get well messages, “To everyone who sent me get well messages, Thank you so much! Your messages kept me warm during a dark phase in my life, I am still fighting a winning battle! Depression is real and deadly! I love you and appreciate you so much! I feel free.”

Lasizwe is not the first celeb to open up about his mental health struggles. Dawn Thandeka King recently took to social media to pen an emotional post saying she was emotionally tired

“I am emotionally tired and it Is okay for me to say that. I think if I say I am emotionally tired it will encourage someone out there who Is emotionally tired and drained to say they are emotionally tired and drained,

“I think you guys think that because we are in the limelight we work on television it is just a job. It’s a job that comes with a lot of demands, when we finish shooting, we still need to come home and be moms, partners, daughters, and sisters and sometimes listen to the problems of other people when we are tired. But what happens when we are tired emotionally and psychologically?” she said.

We wish Lasizwe those who are suffering from mental health issues love and light..
