The media personality’s True Love magazine cover has caused a lot of controversy.
Lerato, who is the magazine’s June cover girl, expressed her disappointment about the retouched picture that was used on the cover.
She took to Instagram on Monday morning to share how she feels, adding that the article was beautifully captured, despite the Photoshop drama.
The magazine then decided to release before and after pictures from the shoot, which resulted in more drama. Several people took to social media to slam True Love for “body shaming” the TV and radio personality.
Some celebrities, including Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Terry Pheto, and others, jumped to Lerato’s defence.

1. A female publication that prides itself in “women empowerment” is able to body shame the woman who graces it’s cover.

2. What makes the situation so devastating is the story that the cover star chose to share, being overshadowed by all the noise.

3. What a sad day it is. For black women and for young black girls.
