South African media personality, Somizi, has reminded fans about the drama surrounding his cooking show, Dinner At Somizi, following a tweet shared on Wednesday, 30 September 2020. The host announced his partnership with DSTV by calling upon his fans to share their suggestions on who they would like to see on the show.

Somizi tweeted, “Hey fam....to all my #dinneratsomizis fans I have some gr8 news 4u... I'm helping @DStv giveaway some cool prizes. All u need to do is tweet who u would like to see as a guest on my show #dinneratsomizis and include #tooeasy to stand a chance to win. I'll announce winners on Sunday.”

Looks like Somizi made it ‘too easy’ for Tweeps to bring up the drama surrounding his show, with many suggesting that he calls upon the man who accused him of stealing his idea, Hastings Moeng. The refuelling of the drama caused for the show to hit the trends list once again, reminding everyone of the accusations made against him.

The drama went down at the beginning of September when reports emerged that the brain behind the show Hastings Moeng, sent an email to Somizi on July 28, 2014, proposing a cooking show Dinner Kwa Somizi. "On 28 July 2014, Hastings Moeng proposed Dinner At Somizi’s to Somizi & Themba. The description of the show is materially similar to the one now flighted (to the shock of Mr Moeng). See the 2014 email below and decide for yourself," shared Eusebius McKaiser on Twitter.

It is also alleged that on 2 September 2016 Hastings Moeng sent a treatment synopsis of the show to the producer of Somizi's current show Legend Manqele and they apparently used his concept to produce the show.

After staying silent on social media over the allegations that he stole Dinner At Somizi's, SomG finally addressed the allegations and claimed that he no idea about any documents that were proposed to him. Som-Gaga then denied ever seeing any emails from the producer. His reasoning is that he does not look at his emails, as his management has handled the account for the past five years, stating that he had logged on to his email was a few months back.
