After serving listeners with great radio content for two decades, Linda Sibiya has decided to take a break from broadcasting.

The radio personality has confirmed that he will be leaving KZN’s Vuma FM at the end of June.

The media veteran, who served a period of two years on Vuma FM, brought in a significant number of listeners since his transition from Ukhozi FM to his current job.

In a series of tweets, Linda emphasised that the reason for him departing from the radio station was due to his need for growth.

In all of his radio jobs, Linda has served 20 years within the broadcasting industry and feels it is time for a change.

Avid followers of the radio personality did not take kindly to the news, but understood his reasons for leaving.

Others have encouraged Linda to open up his own community radio station, which we think is an absolutely great idea. Sibiya has the following and support… so why not?

Daily Sun recently reported that DJ Sbu might be joining the radio station and that he’d be the one replacing Sibiya - which is obviously great news for people who have been longing to hear the entrepreneur back on the airwaves again.

We would like to wish Linda all the best in his future endeavours.
