More drama rocks Mashelembe and her family. This time, making headlines is not only her but her husband Bheki and his new wife Masithole as they reportedly demand their 50Ks as promised by Mnakwethu.
Bheki told Sunday World that the 3 of them were allegedly promised R50 000 to appear on the show but he only received R12 000 as up front payment and never received the rest.
His two wives, Mashelembe and Masithole both claim they too were never paid.
“The agreement was that each of us would be paid R50 000. I became suspicious when they refused to give us copies of the contracts,” Bheki told the publication. “I only received R12 000 instead of R50 000. I received that money because I needed to fix my car and so I asked them to pay me in advance, otherwise I wouldn’t have been paid.”
All of them grew suspicious when they never saw their contracts, because the agreements were all verbal. He said if he had money, he would sue the show.
What angers them the most is the fact that the show gained viewers using their own personal lives and they apparently never got properly compensated for.
Mashelembe who trended on all social media platforms because of her emotional episode, claims she is living in poverty and can barely afford to buy nappies and basic toiletries for her baby. Despite her receiving a lavish baby shower from supporters.
“I don’t understand why I never received the money because I had an agreement with them. I am not happy because my life was exposed for all to see, but in the end I gained nothing but stress. My life has become harder, I’m [even] struggling to buy food and nappies for the baby,” MaShelembe told the publication.
Her sister wife is angry that their lives were exposed without payment, “I was also suspicious when they took all the paperwork with them. I have no doubt that they made a lot of money through our own episodes, but we gained nothing from it.”

Mashelembe told Daily Sun that she is struggling to maintain her alcohol business, “I’m actually starving and I have no other income except from this business. In 2021, I had two baby showers, which I really appreciate,” she said. “At the time, I was instructed to ignore all calls. Businesspeople who wanted to assist me were blocked but now I can see I was misled. I’m back in poverty and no one is willing to help me because I rejected their help. Hundreds of people donated money to me but I never received a cent. I was referred to lawyers to assist me but I've never heard from them."
