Moonchild Sanelly is a trailblazer in many ways, often defining a path for herself. But now fans think she may need to cool it, especially with her ‘Strip Club’.
The singer and dancer recently dropped a single titled Strip Club. She made the announcement quite excitedly on social media, sharing a snippet of the audio so fans could sample it then go listen to the full song elsewhere.
In her comments section on Instagram, everyone was in awe of her, dropping their hearty congratulations. She was flooded with positive messages, as some fans even promised to play the song on repeat the whole day.
But the mood was completely different on the other side – Twitter. Popular entertainment blogger Musa Khawula reshared the video on his platform, but all the comments he received were rather negative.
The song has been dragged for filth, and some tweeps cannot believe that she actually released it. As one said, she probably thought she had done something amazing, but as it turns out, fans are not entirely as excited about the song as she is.
Other fans were a bit more brutal, with many telling her that she needs to quit music altogether. They think she has a good thing going with her salacious dancing, and that she should stick to that, or exploit her other ‘gifts’ and skills on Only Fans.
Speaking of Only Fans, it is not just a mere suggestion. The dancer recently announced that she would be starting an Only Fans page, much to the excitement of her fans and followers.
Many felt like, if ever there was a Mzansi celebrity who was meant to be on that platform, it is certainly Moonchild, and they genuinely believe that she would make some good money from the platform, especially because she already has a reputation as a risk taker and a woman who is not afraid to be open about her sexuality, hiding nothing.
It seems like her announcement may have unintentionally ‘empowered’ other celebrities in the country. Shortly after she announced it, comedian Lasizwe Dambuza also took to his Instagram stories to say that he, too, would be starting an Only Fans.
He shared the link to his channel, and everyone was excited to see how it would turn out for him. But it turned out to be just a prank, and he put a GIF at the end of the link that caught us all red handed.
But what do you think of Moonchild’s new song? Would you listen to her music?
