On her segment, they talked about social media bullying especially on Twitter. Ntsiki Mazwai is not a stranger to social media bullying so perhaps they saw it fitting to interview her as she has been a victim of countless harsh tweets directed at her.
At the very beginning of her interview, one of the hosts MaBlerh read some of the nastiest tweets that were directed at Ntsiki these past few weeks.
Saving face, Ntsiki was all smiles and giggles however the 'annoyance' came after she was asked whether is she a troll or a sharp shooter.
Ntsiki is known for her straight talk, no filter personality however often times, she says she is mistaken for a 'troll'
After the interview Ntsiki went on a rant about how she regrets doing the interview and how they broke her spirit all for ratings. The musician says she "hated every minute." She continued by adding, "you just walked in and already insulting those who came before you... I see."
"Speaking loudly in English does not mean depth or good content..My feelings are justified...Stop being a d**k and gaslighting me. It was shallow, mean spirited and they were trying to show off ngami and get the ratings they don't (have)." she vented.
Not stoping there, she bashed the SABC for giving the new presenters a live show, "And why the hell would SABC put amateurs on a live show???"
Ntsiki Mazwai had only her followers to thank for warning her on doing the interview. She also apologised to them.
"It's amazing how TV producers don't mind humiliating someone for ratings. I wasn't even paid for this shoot. Thank you to all of you who came to my defense. I'm sad for the new presenters who just tainted their energy for cheap publicity that didn't even work," she wrote.
She said the media industry is trash and that the presenters broke her spirit on her birthday week. "I can't believe this TV interview put me in such a horrible space on my birthday week..... Like Wow. You guys just want me to be miserable nje. It's amazing. SA media is amazing. To call me all the way there just to try break my spirit."
Ntsiki says she will be more cautious going forward, "I will choose with more wisdom the media spaces I place myself into...Because I deserve better.
I'm sorry we all had to see and go thru that... I'm really sorry."
All in all, the poet regrets taking the interview yesterday on Trending SA. "I am going to have to learn to normalize walking off TV sets that don't respect me. I've never believed in drama, but I deserve better."
Lastly she issued out a warning for people who are geared up to bully her, "Bullying me will never end well FOR ANYBODY...Spritually it's self sabotage..Watch your show fall flat moving forward...Because my ancestors are quite vicious about me. That comedy central show hasn't gotten attention since," she warned.
