Mzansi's favourite TV actress Rami Chaune has issued a stern warning to sexual predators in the South African entertainment industry that day their day in court is coming. This comes after former American film producer Harvey Weinstein was convicted of sexual assault and rape on Monday.
The producer who long hailed as one of the most influential producers in Hollywood was found guilty of two felony sex crimes after a Manhattan trial that became a watershed moment for the #MeToo movement.
Women in the entertainment industry accused him of couch casting, assault, sexual abuse and controlling them by using his power over their careers in the film industry.
Harvey's conviction has since set social media ablaze with actress Rami Chuene weighing in on this matter. Rami warned those who are using their fortune and power in the South African film industry that even their money will not save them one day.
Rami has since brought Twitter to a complete standstill when she said " Dear Executive Producer, Please sue me. I want to see something. Regards". Tweeps were left convinced that she is ready to drop some files and they have been refreshing their timelines ever since to hear what she wants to say.
Veteran actress Florence Masebe also commented and said she is craving a day of reckoning in the South African entertainment industry. Tweeps said she must name and shame the predators in the industry but she did not and said she will support the victims when they are ready to talk.
