The Afro-Pop hitmaker who was reported to have been admitted to a private hospital last week is said to be recovering very well in hospital.
According to Daily Sun Robbie Malinga has been diagnosed with anemia.
The singer has been touring across the country with the likes of Musa and in the process, he's also been promoting his latest album, Robbie and the Duets which has since gone platinum.
However, the touring has taken a bit of a toll on the hit-maker, which is also the reason behind him being admitted to hospital.
Although the publication could not get a hold of Robbie Malinga, his record label, Universal Music did release a statement encouraging Robbie's fans not to panic but to keep the singer in their prayers.
Universal Music's spokesperson - Dharam Sewraj spoke to Daily Sun and confirmed Robbie Malinga's hospital's admission but confirmed that the singer is recovering very well and that the label is encouraging him to get some much-needed rest considering that he has not only been touring but also working on a new album he has since completed.
The last public performance we witness of Robbie Malinga was when he performed at the South African Music Awards alongside the likes of Kelly Khumalo.
We wish Robbie a speedy recovery and a lot of rest, South Africa is still in need of his amazing love-ballads.
