A court case that has been years in the making has been postponed yet again to allow for arrangements to be made for a special court sitting where the actor Sello Sebotsane's pre-teen daughter will testify in-camera, in the case brought against him by his ex wife, Shoki Sebotsane.
According to a report published by Sowetan, earlier today, Sebotsane appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court where he stands accused of domestic violence and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.
This after his wife, Skeem Saam actress, Shoki first broke her silence two years ago to share tales of the physical abuse she had suffered during their 10-year marriage.
Social worker Booi Makhubele, who was the case's first witness, told the court that the child will not be able to testify in front of a normal courtroom. "The child is traumatised ... it will be in the best interest of the child to testify in a special court," said Makhubele.
The case has been postponed to 22 August 2018.
