Terry Pheto headed to Cannes Film Festival

Terry Pheto is on a league of her own.

The renowned actress, who’s been featured in international movies like Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, is headed to the Cannes Film Festival. Terry is off to one of the biggest film festivals in the world for the screening of a feature film she co-produced. Her company Leading Lady Productions worked on the movie.

Speaking to Bonang Matheba on SABC3’s Afternoon Express, she said: “I came across a script, at the time it was called Ayanda and the Mechanic, a couple of years ago with Sara Blecher. I fell in love [with the script] and had a meeting with her and she wanted me to play one of the characters there.”

She explained that as time went by, the story sort of changed. “I loved the idea of who Ayanda was becoming. We spoke about that and were like ‘actually, maybe we should co-produce this together’ and we started working on the project and now it’s ready and it will be screened at Cannes. So I’m headed to Cannes in a couple of weeks.”

How great is Terry’s life right now? We’re so jealous!
