The past week's current affairs headlines have been dominated by speculation of President Jacob Zuma's removal, followed by his resignation and our ZAlebs have been just as vocal as anyone in reaction to the news.
Last night, former President Jacob Zuma resigned with less than a year to go before the end of his full term of office. Speaking at a televised national address, Zuma maintained the ANC's decision to recall him is unfair and that he has done nothing wrong.
Here are just some of the celebrity reactions from the resignation announcement:

As South Africans, be proud that we have leaders who don't cling to power. That we truly live in a constitutional democracy where people can be held accountable. Not bad for one of those "shithole countries" ... They can't even do this in America right now. Imagine.

Sad to see him go. Eish 💔 But happy that we have shown the world once again that we live in a country where no man or woman is bigger than the movement.

There was also this hilarious video reposted by Bontle Modiselle. Beware as it contains intense profanity (strong language).
