Zanele Mbokazi Slams Initiation Rumours

Entrepreneur and preacher Zanele Mbokazi, has come out guns blazing to set the records straight regarding rumours of initiation.

This follows after controversial Twitter blogger Musa Khawula, claimed that she was training to become a sangoma. In light of Zanele’s Christian values and her status as a woman of God, social media was left perplexed by the allegations.

Zanele is a well known evangelist, preacher, and TV presenter. Besides being a successful entrepreneur, she is also the brain behind the Gospel Music Awards and wife to Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule.

Musa claimed Zanele was at an initiation school after she was not eating for two weeks. “Zanele Mbokazi -Nkambule is at initiation school to become a sangoma. This comes after she wasn’t herself and not eating food for 2 weeks. She started crying and demanded to be taken to the dam but refused to enter. Her husband had a prophet pray for her but that failed,” he tweeted.

The Crown Gospel Music Awards founder has  hit back at Musa. In an Instagram post she defended herself “I am sitting in my lounge at home & boom – this. WeMusa Khawula, asazani, ungangibhedeli mina uze utrende ngamanga (We don’t know each other, don’t write lies about me to trend). Get your facts straight, my boy,” she captioned the post.

According to Daily Sun, her PR company Mirror PR and Events has release a statement insisting that Zanele is not at an initiation school. A bishop who works with her, Bishop Sikhumbuzo Mathebula said:

“It’s not true that Zanele is at an initiation school. Zanele has an amazing gift from God. Those who have been close to her over the years, have seen it. She did not go to an initiation school, she didn’t thwasa, and she is not a sangoma. This is a gift she has always had, she prophesies, she prays and heals people.”

He continued “This is a gift from God. What has changed in the pads few weeks is that more and more people are coming from all corners for prayers and her gift has just blossomed. We have been praying with her and we thank God for wat is happening through her life.”
