She took to Twitter to share the news with a picture of the inside of her new house captioned: “Bought a new crib in London Finally a homeowner. Thank you Mvelinqanga. Our dining room.”
Talking about her move to London in her interview with WOMEN’S MUSIC NEWS she said she moved to the UK because “ I wanted to expand as an artist. I’m not a conventional artist and when I started off, I was really afro-futuristic. When my label signed me they really turned me into a pop star and I’m slowly trying to turn back into my original state. With the things I write and my style, I thought I might have more of a receptive audience here and also wanted to be somewhere different.”
She also told the publication that she is trying to start setting up shows in the UK to gain exposure, she wants to start gigging around London and also get into mainstream radio.
Her single London Town reached number 3 on the Music Week Urban Club Chart.

Toya is popularly known for her signature music genre called AfroRave. She was nominated for the BET Awards for the Best International Act in Africa. She also won three awards at the 2013 South African Music Awards (SAMAs) for Newcomer of the Year, Best Pop Album, and Best Producer.
Another South African who recently bought a house internationally is Trevor Noah. Comedian and The Daily Show host brought the social media to a standstill when the Daily Mail reported that he has bought himself a $27.5-million mansion in Bel-Air which is at least R412 million in South African Rands.

This was not the first home Trevor bought as he had previously purchased an R279 million mansion which he later sold to purchase his current mansion in Los Angeles, United States of America. According to TMZ, he also owns a penthouse in Manhattan New York valued at R130 Million.
