When people count the most talented thespians in South Africa, there is no way anyone's list will exclude Kgomotso Christopher. The actress has an illustrious career that spans over a decade and she is one of the finest to ever do it.
Not only is Kgomotso naturally talented, but she is also a trained actress who polished her craft by getting her Master of Fine Arts Degree from Ivy League, Columbia University in New York City. Her formal education does not stop there, she also holds a BA Law & Politics degree from UCT.
Over the years, we have seen Kgomotso flex her acting chops on some of our favourite shows which include Scandal, Isidingo, and 4play: Sex Tips for Girls in 2010.
The star is currently killing her role as Dineo Price on Legacy and every day, fans take to social media to give her props for her portrayal of the character.
Even though Kgomotso has been in the spotlight for many years, she has managed to keep her private life out of the focus and her fans are always yearning to know more about it. A lot of people know that Kgomotso is married but not many know that her husband is an American.
In an interview on Trending SA, Kgomotso shared how she and her hubby met, “I met him in varsity, first year, first week, fresher's bash. He was an exchange student from Princeton University in the states at the time."
The couple has two children together, a daughter and a son. Kgomotso and her hubby celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary in December 2021 and taking to Instagram, she shared the special occasion with her fans by posting a picture of them at their son's choir performance, "how the 17th Wedding Anniversary was spent...just like 17 years ago...we were blessed with showers of rain," she wrote in part. When Kgomotso Christopher is not gracing us with her talents on screen, she is a doting mom, on several occasions, the Legacy actress has given us glimpses of her life at home with her family. From luxurious vacations to date nights with her hubby, it seems like the Christophers' are living the life.
Another person who makes a cameo on her Instagram page is her mom, the two have a super close bond, and a couple of years ago, she slayed the internet when she went on a Dubai vacation with her mother and family.
In August 2021, Kgomotso threw her mom an intimate 75th birthday party that was attended by close friends and family. Taking to Instagram, the star wrote a moving tribute to her mom on her special day, "I'm finding it hard to post and share reflections of happiness in a world full of loss and uncertainty and pain," she wrote in part.
She then concluded by writing, "I really am...we almost didn't even celebrate this milestone. Mama said she didn't want anything big, if anything at all..safety first😷 And then it dawned on me....gratitude always...for what we still have to celebrate...Celebrating the Queen Mother...75 years strong! Her friends, the grandkids, the kids, the niece and nephew."
It is always fun and positive seeing happy families in the spotlgiht.
