Through his regular consistent skits, Lasizwe became noticed and as people loved his videos, he became popular as a YouTuber. He would share on his channel different types of imitations and distribute videos on a daily basis.
He started participating in different kinds of challenges on the internet, which led to his fan base rapidly increasing.
Lasizwe promised to keep entertaining people through his videos, “I can’t say much right now, but stayed tuned because something big is about to happen,” he said. He kept on having different videos in a week to ensure that his fans were kept curious and return to his page for more of his skits.
Lasizwe eventually earned the influencer status and was starting being invited to represent brands. After having worked as an influencer, Lasizwe scored himself a huge role as a marketing director, for Fanta Orange.
Finding his feet in the game, Lasizwe was featured in Babes Wodumo and Ntando Duma’s music video for the song “Jiva Phez’kombhede which was released December 2017.
As he was growing in the industry, Laswize made appearances on MTV Base Africa‘s You Got Got (2017) as one of the main presenters, and has presented on SABC 3‘s The Scoop Africa (2018) and SABC 1‘s The Real Goboza (2018). As he worked hard to conclude the year, Lasizwe scored yet another gig of hosting a reality show with MTV, Fake It Until You Make It.
Lasizwe had a good year in 2018 as a creative. He landed a role in hosting e.tv‘s youth show Craz-e World Live as well as VOOV TV’s new show VOOVScoop

He was blessed with an opportunity of becoming an ambassador for Fanta and occupied the Teen Marketing Director role.
Concluding his year, Lasizwe scored two more deals and became an official ambassador for Games Stores and had a collaboration with Audi.

Lasizwe VS Jackie Phamotse
Being the social media sensation that he is, Lasizwe took to the timeline to address the allegations leveled against him on the Hockey Club scandal that Jackie Phamotse was investigating. In addition to this he also told the story of how he met his boyfriend that he nicknamed ‘Steve’.
According to Lasizwe, they met at a popular Bryanston hot-spot where they exchanged numbers, got to know each other and went bowling for their first date a few days later. He then went on to state that “Steve” asked him to be his boyfriend on that date.
The story then takes a number of twists and turns and covers topics such as expensive dinners, borrowing money, paying rent and so forth.

Lasizwe found himself in a Twitter war with the American Vine star, Jay Versace. The American native is known for his funny videos and was considered to be the internet’s funniest teenager.

Mbau stated “I‘m very upset at him for doing that; he lied – the apartment is a rental. He told Fresh that he bought it and he went onto the breakfast show to speak about it and it’s not true.”
According to his sister, Lasizwe believes in social media affirmation and it wasn’t his first time pulling such a stunt.
She added, “it’s not the first time he has pulled a stunt as this and we have warned him, but he will learn and eventually grow to know that you can’t lie about something like this.”
