There is no denying that 2021 has not been the easiest for many people and not just in the country but all over the world. For our Zalebs, we have had to experience terrible breakups and among other new and exciting developments in their lives.

For one such Zaleb, Mohale Motaung, it seems 2021 hit him the hardest and his loyal fans have since gone ahead to offer him their love and strength.

Just recently, the media personality took to his Twitter, in response to a tweep’s question on how 2021 has been for people. In the tweet, the author of the tweet asked guys to respond in memes only and well, Mohale did exactly that.

In his retweet, Mohale went on ahead to say that for him, 2021 had hands, and he didn’t even want to talk about it. Taking to his comment section, it seems fans have a clear understanding of what Mohale has gone through.

As you can already imagine, fans seem to also believe that part of what made 2021 a nightmare was his untimely break up with his estranged husband Somizi. They have since gone ahead to encourage him saying that, despite all that he went though, they are happy that he was able to pull through, better and stronger than before.

If you can recall, the two were quite the power couple but all that came crashing down when rumours arose that things were not going so well in paradise and that the couple was even considering divorce!

In response however, Mohale told The Citizen that they were not getting divorced. He said, "I am not getting a divorce. People are saying I am getting a divorce, where guys? Marriages go through some things, ups and downs. So people take what they see and they run with it. There was just a phase like any other couple, we are not getting a divorce. Things are okay.

And while it is not yet clear whether or not the two did get a divorce, one thing that Mzansi is crystal sure about is that the two are no longer together. Mohale has actually been put on the spotlight several times for being accused of stealing Somizi’s ideas and that itself has landed him quite the backlash, especially from those who are still on team Somizi.

It was also this same year that Mohale had a threat to his life after someone tried to spike his drink in a club one time. The incident brought a lot of concern to his fans who could not understand why anyone would want to harm Mohale.
That aside however, despite the tough year that has been for the radio presenter, we cannot fail to recognize his major wins, like his most recent win as the Male Personality Of The Year at the Africa Choice Awards in Nigeria.

Here’s to a much easier and better 2022
