Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi may be set for an exit from French club Nice this summer, with French newspaper L’Équipe reporting that the striker has been placed among the players available for transfer.
The publication said Nice’s decision is linked to efforts to ease their wage expenses. It also points to Moffi’s comparatively high salary, along with a difficult dynamic with portions of the supporters during last season, as factors behind the club’s willingness to consider offers.
Nice, who are understood to be looking to reduce their financial commitments, are said to be open to bids for the 27-year-old as they plan their squad for the new campaign.
Moffi returned to Nice after a loan stint that lasted half a season at FC Porto, but the Portuguese club chose not to take up an €8 million option that would have made the move permanent.
With his next step still under discussion, the Nigerian international is expected to link up with Nice for pre-season training while negotiations over his long-term future continue.
