Nigerian Premier Football League newcomers Ranchers Bees have named Kabiru Muazu, widely referred to as “2Pac,” as the club’s new General Manager as they begin stepping up for a return to the top flight.
Muazu was introduced on Tuesday evening in a ceremony attended by club owner Sadiq Umar and club president Nura Abdullahi, with the leadership group signalling that the appointment forms part of the early groundwork for Ranchers Bees’ comeback to the NPFL.
The Kaduna-based outfit earned its place among the country’s elite after a strong run in the Nigeria National League. Ranchers Bees impressed at the Super Four playoffs in Ikenne, Ogun State, where they finished among the leading teams to secure promotion.
Officials framed the decision as a key element of wider restructuring ahead of the new season, with the club looking to strengthen not only its coaching and technical setup but also the squad that will represent it in the coming campaign.
Ranchers Bees are among the best-known legacy names in Nigerian football, though they have spent a number of years outside the spotlight. The club has been working on an ambitious revival plan since last year, and management believes Muazu’s familiarity with the domestic game will bring the stability required as they prepare for life back in the NPFL after several seasons in the lower tiers.
With attention now turning to the playing group, recruitment and preseason preparations are expected to get underway over the next few weeks as plans for the 2026/27 campaign gather pace.
