In December 2021, Amanda du-Pont’s ex-boyfriend- Jub Jub made some controversial remarks during his interview with MacG at Podcast and Chill about his past relationships with Amanda and his baby mama- Kelly Khumalo.
After Jub Jub’s interview, Amanda came up to accuse Jub Jub of raping her for two years when they dated and revealed that she had even procured an abortion during the time.
She further explained that she had been too scared to leave him or tell anyone about the abuse because she was afraid of both Jub Jub- who reportedly used to threaten her and his mother whom she accused of using black magic. Amanda also opened a rape case against Jub Jub.
And while Amanda’s story touched the hearts of thousands of South Africans, her husband also came to her defense. Taking to Instagram, Rodriques tagged Jub Jub and said that he couldn’t wait for him to rot in hell.

It didn’t take long for Amanda to see the post and when she did she rubbished the rumours and shared an original video where the photo had been cropped and explained that the man in the photo who had been branded as her boyfriend was just her bodyguard. She also asked people to keep her name out of their gossip.
