Connie Says Her Late Husband Was Underrated In SA

As she celebrates his international nod

Businesswoman and actress Connie Ferguson penned a heartwarming post on Instagram celebrating her late husband Shona Ferguson's international nomination.
He has been nominated for the Best Lead Drama Series at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA) 2021.

Connie said she always knew that her husband was an outstanding actor, she said he was one of the underrated actors in South Africa.

"My dear husband, I always told you that you were my favorite actor to work with, and probably one of the most underrated in this country! Your talent was beyond! How you committed to each character you portrayed always left me in awe!"

She said her husband's legacy will live on and congratulated him on his big recognition. She wrote: "You will never be forgotten! EVER! I have always been proud of you, and you continue to make us proud beyond the grave!🤍🕊 God is good.🙏🏾 Bravo Mr. Sho! Bravo!"

Other actors including The River star Tsholo Matshaba also took to the comments section to congratulate the late actor. "You did say, my Lady, this industry never saw abuti Shona for the actor that he really was. Halala HAPA AWARDS," Tsholo wrote.

TT Mbha also wrote: "I can see him with his contagious laugh in heaven ❤️ oh what a legend he was and will always be,"
Shona passed away in July this year after he lost his battle with COVID-19. After his passing, several celebrities took to their social media platform to honour him, and here is what a few of our favorite ZAlebs had to say in case you missed it.

You fought a good fight, You Taught a lot of men out there hard work pays and how to truly love in marriage, you made it all look easy. Miss Cons, May God grant you strength grace courage to soldier on my sis. I know those great memories will shine that light forever,” she wrote.
