"We have chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love, and have shared a magical journey together."
The two maintain that nothing has changed between them and they will remain friends. At the moment they are just on different paths.
"Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths."
"There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision - just two best-friends realising it’s time for some space and help each other live the most joyous fulfilled lives as possible."
Motee will not be answering any questions from the fans and the media as they choose to deal with their breakup in public.
"We would appreciate some space as we have our own existing support structures helping us through the process. Love, Mo & Thato."
Another popular couple to split recently is Minne and her ex-husband Quinton. They announced their divorce through an official statement:
"In the last 2 years, our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other," reads the statement.
Despite their best efforts to save their marriage, the two decided to file for divorce after months of separation.
"Despite our better efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will. After months of separation and consultations with our family and a counselor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce."
There is no love lost between Minnie Dlamini and Quinton Jones as they remain friends and loving parents to their son Netha.
"Despite the end of our marriage and romantic relationship, we remain friends, business partners, and loving parents to our beautiful son. This was difficult to come to and even more heart-breaking to have to announce. In the wake of this news, we ask that you please grant us privacy during this difficult time."

In a 2018 interview with Anele Mdoda Minnie told her that she and Quinton didn't go for marriage counseling before their wedding.
"We didn't go for counseling before we got married. Maybe it's something we'll have to go to. With the show and producing, we actually didn't go to counseling.
"But, I also believe we have a different kind of relationship. We were best friends for many many years, so our communication is very intense. I speak to him like I speak to my best friend and therefore there are a lot of things that new couples who are about to get married are still trying to figure each other out. We've known each other for many years," she said in part.
