Kelly Khumalo Confirms Having Given Birth

Kelly Khumalo might be at the centre of the ongoing and unresolved murder case of her former partner and father of her second-born Senzo Meyiwe. However, these past few months, the now-mother of three has been hard at work in light of her then-impending maternity leave.

This comes after she had initially confirmed that she was pregnant back in December 2022. As reported at the time:

Earlier this week there were speculations that award-winning singer/songwriter Kelly Khumalo was expecting her third child after recent images showed what looked like a growing baby bump.

Neither Kelly nor her close associates confirmed the news, leaving. Everyone guessing.

In the afternoon her sister Zandile let the cat out of the bag. She posted an image of her older sister with a clear visible bump.

“Lunch with family after a refreshing week ekhaya eNqutu. Now back to work for the weekend,” posted Zandile.

Kelly Khumalo confirms having given birth

Back in April 2023, it was reported that Kelly had given birth to a baby girl. The report read:

Singer Kelly Khumalo has reportedly welcomed her third baby into the world! Friends of the Ngathwala Ngaye hitmaker told ZiMoja that Kelly welcomed a baby girl a few days ago via c-section, and it keeping her pregnancy under wraps until the right moment.

“Nccooh! She is beautiful. Kelly’s mom is the happiest. She loves all her grandchildren. Kelly had a C-section in Johannesburg a few days ago. But as you know, we are Africans and Kelly is a modern but traditional woman, so she will be indoors for some time before announcing the birth. Past experiences have also taught her to protect what is important to her,” the blog quoted the source.

Apparently, Kelly had a good and enjoyable pregnancy and one can tell from the pregnancy swag she showed off.

In light of the reports, Kelly had neither confirmed nor denied said reports. However, it seems that the now mother of three is ready to start sharing her journey as a “new” mom. This is as she took to Instagram to finally share images of herself and her little baby girl.

It is unclear whether this was due to the fact that the post was a promotional post for her luxury car seat by Nuna. The car seat is said to cost over R5 300. However, given that Kelly is one of the most acclaimed media personalities, she might have gotten the car seat for free.

Moreover, she has not shared her youngest daughter’s name as yet. As such, it seems that her fans are hoping that there will be a fourth season of her hit Showmax reality show Life with Kelly Khumalo where they will get a front seat into her pregnancy journey. Moreover, the season is hoped for as there is the belief that Kelly would finally reveal the child’s father who is believed to be soccerstar Mthokozisi Yende.
