He and his 'friend' Wiseman Zitha have been rumoured to be dating several times and they always ignore the rumours. They recently posted images of them on a vacation where they were both in a bath tub at the Palala Boutique Game Lodge and Spa in Wiseman's birth place, Limpopo.
This further heightened the dating rumours but now they have broken their silence to City Press.
Both Wiseman and Mohale maintain that they are just friends and nothing more. In fact they have been friends for years and that is where it ends.
Mohale said he is not ready to date just yet, and even if he did Wiseman would not be an option because they are just friends, “We are friends. Every time I post a picture of him, [people] say we are dating.
“Every time they see us together, they ask us questions about our relationship, but he is my friend. I will get back to dating at some point; not now.”
Wiseman told the publication that there is nothing they can do about these rumours because people will always talk. The Giyani: Land Of Blood actor said they met at a university in Pretoria, “We are not dating, we are just good friends and we have been for a very long time.”
“People don’t know that we know each other from way back because they see us now in public and assume that we are dating. Anyway, people will always assume what they want and there is nothing we can do,” he concluded.

Wiseman did clarify that they are just friends in his birthday shoutout and they spent a lot of time together, “Help me wish my chomiship @mohale_77 a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y’all,” he posted. “Ndziku navelela siku Raku velekiwa munghana wa Mina cheers to many more years of LAUGHTER, LOVE, SUCCESS and FRIENDSHIP. As you grow older, may you increase in WISDOM and every other aspect.”
Mohale responded by saying, “I love you so much Munghana wamino! I can’t wait to see you.”
Despite having gone through a very messy and public divorce with Somizi Mhlongo, and being called all sorts of hideous names, Mohale still keeps his head held high.
Their love story when it was still very much alive, attracted many people and they won beste seller. Phil Mphela reported that the couple's magazine issue for TrueLove, was the most successful, "Somizi & Mohale are TrueLove best sellers. The issue, Somhale were cover stars on, is True Love magazine’s top selling of 2020/21. The issue holds the distinction of being a first gay couple cover for the mag too."
This was way before Mohale made those explosive allegations against Somizi, where he accused him of abuse and being controlling. He said Somgaga used to chase him down with a knife.
Somizi denied these claims and said he would never abuse anyone, "Our relationship has its ups and downs but I have NEVER been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation. What I am going to state however is that we had one altercation in which I had to defend myself and both of use were physically hurt by the other. I am at this stage not at liberty to dive deeper into the details but can state that he is not a victim in this situation.
"I have been accused of sabotaging his efforts to be financially independent and can confirm that I have never made a concerted effort to block his opportunities. In fact, I have encouraged, I have even through my own channels petitioned for opportunities for him to make money through my networks and I've amplified some of the work he's done," he said.
