The actor rose to fame after he landed a role in Giyani: Land of Blood which airs on SABC 2, and he has never looked back. He then got a role on Muvhango and has even appeared on Rockville.
The awards took place last night at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg and they were a spectacular affair once again. The Feather Awards are dedicated to celebrating the LGBTIQ community through the arts.

In this year's categories, nominees were recognized from a variety of fields, including entertainment, politics, lifestyle, sport, and business. Lumko Johnson, Ditshego Ditshego and Zizo Tshwete were the official hosts and TV host Ayanda Makuzeni hosted the pink carpet.

Actor and social media sensation Oratile Masedi won the Social Media Personality of the Year. The influencer and entertainer has been leaving many social media users in stitches with his hilarious videos on social media and he deserves the award.

Oratile recently paid tribute to his mother Vinolia Mashego in a lengthy heartfelt letter. He said no one cared for him like his late mother. “No one loved me like you did, no one cared for me like you did, no one sacrificed for me like you did, no one prayed for me like you did, no one protected me like you did, no one shaped me like you did, No one made me happy like you."

“Today I'm on my knees, looking up and saying thank you for the times we spend here on earth together, for all the times we cried, laughed, jumped, screamed, played, baked, prayed, watched TV, did dishes together. If I had to choose another mother again, I'd choose you again and again and again.”

Oratile said he was still trying to pick up where his mother left off and promised to make her mom proud. “I won't ever stop celebrating your power, courage, talent, strength, drive, and determination, what you did for this industry, and how you inspired a lot of us. I'm trying my Best to pick where you left off and I hope you're proud of me. I lost you, but I know you still live inside me. I love mama. Love live the queen."

Congratulations to all the winners.
