Did Somizi Really Pay Lobola?

City Press reports that Somizi Mhlongo has allegedly paid lobola to his fiancé Pholoso Mohlala. If the reports are anything to go by, the couple will apparently walk down the aisle in September.

The publication alleges that the alleged lobola negotiations took place in March 19. It is said that Somizi Mhlongo and Pholoso Mohlala are already planning on looking for wedding venues.

“The date’s been set. He’s getting married in September. The couple’s going to look at wedding venues on Monday. He paid lobola during the long weekend of March 19 at Pholoso’s home in Hammanskraal.” 

This just takes us back to the statement Somizi made on his reality show Living The Dream with Somizi, where he said he wishes to get married when he is 50 years old. He will be turning 50 in December on the 23rd.

“I want to get married at 50. The first time was a rehearsal,” he said shading Mohale. 

He also spoke about his love life and said the person he is dating is comfortable in life, “I am a sucker for mjolo. I can’t afford to date a man that I still have to raise right now,” he added, throwing shade at Mohale Motaung.

“I have a house. He’s got a house… I have a car, he’s got a car. I have a bank balance, a healthy bank balance, he’s got a healthy bank balance,” he added. “The person that I’m seeing right now, he is very comfortable,” he gushed. 

A few days ago, Somizi got spoiled by a man named Sunny Obasi at Summo and he said he is even considering changing his profession because the man splurged over R100K on him and his friends, “This guy wants me. I had never been a slay queen before but It’s so nice! Being a slay queen is NICE! The guy is handsome and younger,” he said. “The way he has money I am even considering quitting Idols SA. If he calls me today I dump Idols SA,” he said.

His fiancé on the other hand just became a father for the first time.
Mohale on the other hand is busy engaging in some publicity stunt with Lasizwe as they attend events holding hands and even kiss on Instagram live.

Nota even labeled this a publicity stunt, “Lasizwe has that disgusting disease that Mihlali’s boyfriends have of wanting someone that everyone has had before… Love yourself, you’re from an elite Soweto family like I do. Now your brother needs to explain that Mohale won’t take over the family business by kissing the boss!”
