Celebrity chef Siba Mtongana will star in her own cooking series, Siba’s Table, on the DSTV channel, Food Network. She is the second South African cook to appear on the channel after Jenny Morris. The series will start shooting early next year.
Mtongana is already something of a TV veteran after starring in the Mzansi Magic show Cooking with Siba.
In an interview with Independent Newspapers, Siba says on the menu will be traditional dishes such as umfino (wild leaves) in maize meal, or creamy pap and maas, with which she plans to tantalise the tastebuds of TV viewers in 85 countries.
