Yesterday, The Tibane group confirmed through social media that founder and CEO Pro (Dr) John Mavuselo Tibane passed away on the 30th of June. “It is with deep sadness in our hearts, that we announce the passing of the Founder and CEO of Tibane Group Prof (Dr) John Mvuselo Tibane,” read a statement from his management.

Tabane’s passing has come as a shock to his followers who have always looked to him for wisdom and inspiration. According to his Twitter bio, John was a Medical Consultant-turned Leadership Advisor, High-Performance Strategist & Author. Professor of Leadership at South Valley University.
Tibane was truly a selfless man and a father to many. Many flocked to his talks and popular show on GNF Television, Live To Lead. In one of his shows, he said that the reason we are still alive is so that we can make an impact on our generation.
“The reason for this slot really is to empower one another so that we are able to lead lives of influence and impact. We are fully persuaded that the reason why we are still alive is so that we can make an impact in our generation. Is so that we can make a difference in our world. So that is what we really mean by leading. In other words, we influence and impact the world not through titles and positions but through the things that we do.” Those are the wise words of Dr John Tibane.
The 1st of July also saw South Africans find out about the untimely death of popular musician Dr Steve Kekana and renowned actor Mutodi Neshehe.
The passing of Dr Kekana was confirmed by his manager Xolani Majozi confirmed to the Sowetan.
“Yes it’s true, Ntate Steve Kekana is no more. He died in the early hours of this morning and we are waiting for more details from the family,” Majozi said. I spoke to his wife and she confirmed that he’s no more. He was fine the last time I spoke to him. I spoke to him last week over the phone and we were having an event around him but had to cancel due to the latest lockdown regulations.”
Tributes have also been pouring in for popular television actor Mutodi Neshehe. His family issued a statement confirming that he passed away on the 1st of July 2021. They have asked for some privacy to mourn their loved one.
