Big Brother Mzansi’s runner-up and most admired housemate The Ghost, whose real name is Themba Mabaso has been having a good season since he left the second season of the competition reality show earlier this month. Fans have been showing him love and support, flooding him with gifts, and even donating some money towards his businesses and personal life, and the reality star keeps on winning.
This time, Themba is joining forces with Afrotainment’s big boss DJ Tira, the number one radio voice in the country, Thabo Molefe known as Tbo Touch, musician and winner of the Celeb City boxing battle, Naak Musiq, and dancer and presenter Bontle Modiselle as one of the big celebrities who will be co-hosting the forever sizzling Afrotainment Marquee at the first Durban July since the pandemic which will take place in the second half of the year.

The upcoming musician and professional tattoo artist recently shared new images from a photoshoot done for this marquee. In the images, he poses regally aside DJ Tira and Tbo Touch while Bontle and Naak Musiq stand in front of them. They are all styled to perfection in shimmery and embellished formal wear.
The Ghost took to his personal Instagram page promoting the event ad urging his fans and followers to also join in on the event. He wrote in a caption opening with the statement, “Let go and let God.” The post caption went on to read, “Greetings We Are Back [with] Durban in July 2022 at the Greyville Racecourse” He continued, “As per our promise, Afrotainment Durban July Marquee is now open for bookings. The time has finally come and our packages are ready for purchase. Be amongst the first to secure yourself the best seat with the best crowd, best entertainment at this year's Afrotainment Durban July Marquee.”
The famous Afrotainment marquee is one of the most anticipated and demanded marquees at the Durban July, boasting over 500 guests year after year. DJ Tira has co-hosted this marquee with many big names in the local entertainment industry including the likes of DJ Zinhle, Simz Ngema, Jessica Nkosi, Prince Kaybee, and the returning co-host, Naak Musiq.
The Ghost, with his fan loyalty and admiration, promises to be a pull factor for the public in joining the Afrotainment marquee, with his social media channels already flooding with comments requesting to be part of the experience with him.
His loyal fanbase who call themselves the Ghost nation started showing him love and congratulating him on this new feat, with a lot of them affirming that he was indeed made for the entertainment industry. One Instagram comment reads, “Themba, you look so hot. I can't believe it is still the same Ghost I stan in that house you look fresh. You were made for this.”
Another die-hard fan of the ex-housemate praised him in an Instagram comment that reads, “The chosen one, the holy ghost has chosen you president of ghost nation.”
The Vodacom Durban July, in it’s return, will take place on Saturday the 2nd of July at the Greyville Racecourse in Durban.
