TBO Touch whose real name is Thabo Molefe was born on 4 April 1981 in Thokoza, Gauteng, South Africa.
He was raised in Sharpville by his grandparents and then moved to the United States where he was taken in by Bishop Robert and Marjorie Jones.
TBO Touch started his education in South Africa. He did his primary studies in a local school and then joined Thokoza Secondary School. He finished high school at Bishop Grimes High in the United States.
His entrepreneurial spirit kicked in when he was in high school and he got awarded for that. He then joined Bond University where he pursued a marketing major.
TBO Touch has had an extensive career in the entertainment industry. He’s worked for some of the biggest brands in the industry like Metro FM and Defjam. How did he get in?
He got in at Dejfam as an intern and through that, he crossed paths with some of music’s most influential people like Jay Z.
From there, TBO Touch went on and worked at Metro FM after his meeting with the then station’s manager Lesley Ntloko.
He was in charge of the international version of Metro FM Live which he did from New York.
TBO Touch has also been part of some of the biggest entertainment shows like Rhyme and Reason as well as Friday and Saturday Night.
Currently, TBO Touch runs his own radio station named TBO Touch radio station popularly known as Touch Central FM.
Earlier in 2022, Metro FM rehired the radio legend and reportedly offered him a salary of half a million rand monthly. This move is expected to boost listenership and attract more advertisers.
He also owns a wines business 48 Gin, the first black-owned wines business.
TBO Touch was in a relationship with Thuli Thabether for six years (2004 to 2010). Their romance led to the birth of their son Ruri whom the two co-parent.

Khaluwa further alleged that TBO Touch’s employees at Soweto TV work under deplorable conditions - not being paid and being underresourced.
In response to the allegations, TBO Touch threatened to take legal action against Khaluwa and ordered that he remove the tweets. Further, he demanded he removes pictures of him that he’d used.
Khaluwa confirmed that TBO Touch’s lawyers served him with court papers but he said that he wasn’t fearful.
