Abdul Khoza got nominated for the first time in his acting career and won! The talented actor took home the award for Favourite Actor at this year's DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards (DMVCA).

The category was hugely contested with his colleague Bonko Khoza being nominated in the same category. Together they shine on the hit Showmax series The Wife, playing Nqoba Zulu and Mqhele Zulu.
Three of The Wife cast members all shone in the nominations list and it is for their great talent and acting on the series. Kwenzokuhle Ngcobo who plays the charming Qhawe in the drama series is nominated for Favourite Rising Star award. Zikhona Sodlaka who plays his Nqoba's wife Mandisa on the show was nominated under the Best Female Actor.

Celebrating his win, he and the other cast members made way to Pretoria at the Ayepyep Lifestyle in Menlyn.
Celebrating his nomination, Abdul sent a special shoutout to Dudu Busani the writer of the book version of the drama series and the cast and crew. "I am very thankful for this humbling honor of being nominated for the 1st time in my career by @dstv_mvca_official for BEST ACTOR. I honestly am so grateful for this nomination alone as it means my work is being recognized & that l have won a few hearts within my industry & that for me is my BEST AWARD."

Abdul almost sent his fans into a frenzy when he hinted that he will be leaving the show after he got shot during his war with the Majola brothers. "It's been an amazing journey with you all on #TheWifeShowmax. Thank you to the entire cast and crew for embracing me to the fullest. I shall miss you all and wish you a greater journey ahead. You have inspired my career with this amazing show, ngiyabonga mina (thank you) uNqobizitha Zulu lo, sengihembe. Heee heee!!!" he announced.
When he caught wind of the frenzy, he clarified that he was only joking.

Even his brother Sthembiso Khoza celebrated him when he got nominated making it known that he is his biggest supporter. SK Khoza shared a clip from TikTok where all of his funniest moments are shared on the platform. Abdul acknowledged it on the comments section. His fans also flooded the comments section, sharing the same sentiments as well.
