The anniversary festivities began after AKA tweeted “Happy Levels Day” at around 8am on Tuesday.
Fans later reflected on all the successes and special moments they have enjoyed over the past year since the release of AKA’s sophomore album, Levels.
Emotions ran high as fans reminisced about their favourite songs from the album, music videos and events they attended to see the Sim Dope rapper perform live.

One die-hard fan, who’d bought the original Levels album and its deluxe version, tweeted a picture of the CDs on top of a self-styled shirt with an image of AKA’s iconic gold teeth.

If there was ever a consolation prize for ‘King Doro’ not being nominated in the Hip Hop category of the MTV MAMAs, it would surely be the love and praise that was poured into #Levels1Year.
