The student, Trevor was proved to be legit and the rapper assured that his team would be in touch with the student via direct message. Trevor made it clear he needed money for transport and stationary, since he attends a free school.

Trevor tweeted, “With all my humbleness and all my respect, I need help (with) stationary and money for transport. Registration is free.”

AKA replied, “Ok, we will be in touch. Wait for a DM tomorrow and we’ll get to the bottom of this.”

It’s amazing that the rapper is willing to lend a helping hand especially in this difficult season where almost everyone’s pockets are bleeding. Recently, the rapper had rejected and criticized the Government’s R2200 relief package to support artists, citing that it’s too little for him.

Almost a month ago, AKA’s baby mama, DJ Zinhle revealed that she had not received an income in three months since the lockdown had started. She claimed that this was as a result of companies asking her to perform for free during the pandemic. Prior to that, AKA had slammed the government for abandoning artists whom he claimed were struggling since they had no gigs.
