Congratulations are in order for DJ Black Coffee for scooping yet another international award last night. The 20th Annual DJ Awards took place in Ibiza and of course our favorite DJ once again made us proud.

The DJ Awards is a celebration of the electronic music scene and aims to recognise and honour DJ's and individuals who have influenced electronic dance music worldwide. The awards are held annually in Ibiza at the end of the Northern hemisphere's summer and have retained the same ethics since the inception of the awards in 1998.

The fundamental philosophy is not that of a competition, but rather a focus on an art form whose merits are purely subjective and therefore there is no best at anything.

Instead of saying someone is best at this and better than the next person, the awards show rather seeks to shine a light on key talents in the industry.

Black Coffee, who won an accolade for his contribution to deep house was nominated alongside some of the world's biggest club and electro DJs such as DJ Hardwell, DJ Hannah Wants, DJ Todd Terje, Dj Carl Cox and DJ Luiano among many others.

2017 has without a doubt been one of the best years for the DJ whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo. From finally officially marrying his sweetheart, collaborating with Drake and becoming a sneaker designer to gaining ownership of popular event venue, Zone 6 and now winning another international award.

If this isn't black excellence then we don't know what is. Congratulations Black Coffee on yet another win.
