Over the weekend, you might’ve seen many musicians, fans & other celebrities congratulating the DJ on his first performance at the world-renowned Apollo Theatre based in Harlem, New York.
For those not in the know, the Apollo Theatre is not just an entertainment venue but THE entertainment venue that played a significant role in the emergence of jazz, R&B & gospel music genres in America since the 1900’s.
Honored to make my mark in the history books of the legendary @ApolloTheater tonight 🙏🏿🙏🏿. See you there NYC. pic.twitter.com/zSlUYR92k0

Black Coffee now boasts the rights of having performed on a stage that once held the likes of Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Prince and many other award-winning international musicians & comedians.
Black Coffee is one of the two South African’s to have performed at the Apollo Theater, P.E born singer – Belinda Davids also performed at the Apollo in 2017.
He is also probably one of the few House DJ’s in the world to have had the pleasure to grace the Apollo stage.
Congratulations to Black Coffee, we hope to see his name also ingrained alongside these artists in the near future.
And by the looks of this video, Black Coffee shut it down! But then again what did you expect? It’s Black Coffee after-all.
