In recent years we’ve seen many Zalebs, who started in the beauty and make-up industry go all the way to launch successful careers. The likes of Kay Yarms, Mihlali Ndamase and Mpoomy Ledwaba a great example.

Mihlali Ndamase was probably the first South African celebrity, who started on Youtube and went on to become one of the most popular faces in Mzansi. Forbes Magazine included her in their ‘Forbes 30 Under 30’ for 2021. Sharing the exciting news on social media, Ndamase reflected on how far she’s come.

“An African child’s story worth telling,” she posted. “This is evidence of God’s faithfulness in my life. Thank you Forbes Africa, what an honour, I am so humbled to be recognised by such a prestigious platform. To my loves, my supporters... we did it, we are officially part of the FORBES family!”She added in part.

Beauty Influencer, Khethokuhle Ngonyama who is popularly known as Kay Yarms bought herself a brand new Mercedez Benz in April. “Won’t you look at the God that I serve?” she wrote on her Instagram.

Mpoomy Ledwaba, who is now one of the country’s biggest YouTubers, announced recently that she and her husband Brenden had purchased their dream home. “When the time is right I, the Lord will make it happen - Isaiah 60:22. Brenden Praise what a journey, we found our dream home. Now the fun begins, I can’t wait to renovate, decorate, design and play interior decorator and watch my Pinterest come alive, dreams!!"

This just goes to show that everything is possible with hard work, the right mindset and faith.

Blue didn’t have the best of starts to June. She recently opened up about a hijacking that involved a close friend of hers. She posted that she had seen footage of her friend almost getting hijacked. “Just watched a CCTV footage where my friend almost got hijacked. South Africa is not safe bathong!”
