Bonang Matheba started this year like most of us, with a lot of promises of consistency. However, as the year has rolled out, she has joined the rest of us that made resolutions at the top of the year only to somewhat discard said resolutions by the end of February.

While the hope is that her break from posting and social media is a result of her planning her next takeover as she did in January 2023. The only place that she seems to be active is Twitter.
Bonang reminisces on being styled by Law Roach
The world of fashion was stunned when stylist to the stars and reality personality Law Roach recently took to his instagram to announce his retirement from styling. Taking to Instagram, Law on his retirement wrote:
“My Cup is empty… Thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately, it’s not! The politics, the lies, and false narratives finally got me! You win… I’m out.”
While Law is regarded as the style icon behind the likes of Zendaya, Keri Washington, Priyanka Chopra, Megan Thee Stallion, and a number of other A-listers. The stylist to celebrities was also once the stylist behind some of Bonang’s most iconic looks from the 2010s as he dressed her back in 2016.
As such, in light of the news of his retirement, Bonang took to Twitter to celebrate having worked with the stylist to the stars. This is as a tweep shared some of their favourite looks from the collaboration between Law and Bonang, which Bonang reacted to.
Seeing as she was online, it seemed that her followers wanted to know when they can expect a new episode of the newly revamped and re-booted B*Dazzled. This is as Matheba had earmarked Valentine’s Day as the possible date for the second episode. However, February 2023 is well over and there is still no episode.
As such, when asked about her Youtube channel, Bonang was coy in answering a tweep by replying with an “apparently” to the fact that she does have a YouTube channel. As such, her followers wondered if this means that there is set to be a long extended wait until a new episode of the B*Dazzled 2.0.
But while her YouTube growth stilts, it seems that Matheba is getting more and more involved in politics. This is as she was one of the many ZAlebs that took up for axed UCT Vice Chancellor Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng, when newsroom editor Adriaan Basson attempted to shade the prof in light of the current upheaval at UCT.
