Bubu Mazibuko is not only an award winning actress but she is a casting director too. From starring on Yizo Yizo and shining as Thuli on Gaz'lam, her acting showreel just kept getting longer and longer. In 2006, the 41 year old was nominated in the category Best Supporting Actress at the inaugural SAFTA Awards, and even though she didn't take that award home that night, that didn't stop her from putting her best foot forward and continue doing what she loves. But where us the actress now?

Bubu Mazibuko is currently residing in Los Angeles, Carlifornia in United States Of America where she is living her best life.

Judging from her Instagram snaps, the actress is enjoying every moment with family and friends. She celebrated her brother's wedding at a countryside in Ashland, Oregon under these strict COVID-19 regulations.

"My brothers tied the knot yesterday. Weddings in the time of covid. So very thrilled for these 2. So much love in the air around all the 25 people there.
Beautiful wine farm. Beautiful everything. Congratulations to the Ndlovu-Lyons," she captioned her post.

Fans have noticed how loud her absence is and have asked the actress on social media what is she up to and that she is dearly missed on the TV screens. "I haven't seen you on the screen for a long time but I hope you are OK..... I am just a fan checking up on you."

Bubu replied by saying she is in a better state now than she has ever been when she was working in South Africa. But she did promise that she will be returning and there is a date set.

"And for that I thank you, But just to share...I’m GOOD...doing better than I ever did in my acting career in SA....There’s a time set for my return, but am having quiet the experience of my life in the meantime," she replied.

Her movie 'My Zulu Wedding' did very well in the states after it scooped two awards for  Best Picture and Best Narrative Feature – at the 28th Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles. Perhaps her move was a very well calculated one seeing how she wants to keep climbing up the ladder of success.
