On the 2nd episode of his podcast which airs on MacG’s Podcast and Chill, Bujy had Banzi Obie Mavuso who is allegedly an “outed abuser” as one of his guests.
A Twitter user by the name of @Landawillie took to Twitter to slam both Bujy and Obie. She said she is tired of Obie speaking about her.
She said Obie used to lock her up and beat her for months. She added that Obie also tried to kill her.
"Guys, I’m so SICK AND TIRED Of Obie Mavuso speaking about me every chance she can get for the cloud! I’m SICK AND TIRED of this woman telling people LIES about me! An entire platform with gay men giving this VILE PERSON a chance to explain WHY SHE USED TO BEAT TO A PULP
"The ONLY reason I outed her on here was because she STALKED ME! TRIED TO KILL ME! AND THREATENED TO GO TO PLACE OF WORK TO FURTHER ABUSE ME! I am so SICK of you problematic men, queers, and “Allies”! If you’re not killing women, you’re given platforms to ABUSERS to do so!"
She said if anything happens to her people should know that Obie did it and because Bujy gave her the platform to harass her.
“The ONLY WAY you all “believe woman” is when she’s cold in a a f*cking morgue!!!!! Maybe you wouldn’t have given an OUTED ABUSER a platform to EXPLAIN why she abused me if she actually killed me and my whole life was reduced to nothing but a fucking hashtag!
“If ANYTHING happens to me, know that OBIE “KANII” Mavuso DID IT. Know that @Bujy & @podcastwithmacg gave her a platform to further harass me. & know that they were all sitting around a table laughing with my abuser about how she abused me! @womenforchange5 @ntsikimazwai.”
Sharing her story on the podcast, Obie said: “I was married to a woman in 2017, I was probably 26 years old…I had just moved to Johannesburg from Cape Town and I was quite vulnerable at the time because my family was not here in Johannesburg.
"We were dating for a couple of months, we got married in February 2017…There were EXs in the picture with her, I think that was the issue with me. I didn’t know what was going on and she wasn’t as forthcoming… It was hectic for me to also understand how to deal with all of this stuff that I am seeing in the marriage because I was raised in a dysfunctional family where physical abuse was everywhere.”
She admitted that she then started becoming physical with her ex-wife.
She said: “she was antagonizing me in a way whereby she was cheating on me and she wasn’t stopping what she was doing when I was I was asking her to, she wasn’t respecting my boundaries…. And because I didn’t have the right tools to deal with it I then became abusive.”
