Cassper Nyovest is in mourning following the recent passing of his paternal grandmother. The rapper took to social media to share the saddening news last night shortly after his grandmother passed away on Sunday night.

This is a second ordeal taking place between Cassper Nyovest's families. As of last year, Nyovest lost his beloved aunt who has been battling cancer for a long minute. Taking to social media, the deeply saddened Nyovest divulge to his fans and followers on the news of his grandmother's passing.

"Gained another Guardian Angel last night. My Grandmother from my dad’s side Naledi “Star” Phoolo crossed over. Thank you for everything nkgono. May you lessons stay with us so we can live a long beautiful life like you did. May your soul rest in peace." wrote Cassper Nyovest
Condolences messages are already pouring on social media from Cassper Nyovest's fans and followers, as they are wishing him and his family well during this trying time.

Exactly two months ago Cassper Nyovest and family were laying to rest their aunt who lost her life to cancer.  Ahead of his much anticipated Fill Up Mmabatho Stadium music concert, rapper Cassper Nyovest revealed to laying his aunt to rest. Although he managed to keep mum about the ordeal, on the day of her funeral, the Tito Mboweni hit-maker broke his silence.

"Laid my favourite aunt to rest today. Life is going by a bit faster than I thought it would. There is no time. Rest is peace Zo. I cried like a baby today. I love you soooo soooo much and FUCK CANCER!!!!" wrote Cassper Nyovest
