Love is a beautiful thing in all of its forms, and nothing is more refreshing than witnessing two hearts united in love.

With so many individuals divorcing, it's always inspiring to see celebrities whose marriages have lasted.

Let's take a look at some South African celebrities who have demonstrated that love can exist even in the celebrity world.

Romeo and Basetsana Kumalo


Romeo and Basetsana Kumalo are one of the few famous couples who have endured the test of time.

For nearly two decades, the two lovebirds have been together. They began dating shortly after Basetsana was crowned Miss South Africa in 1997.

They married in 2000 after three years of dating.

They're still a couple that a lot of people look up to.

"My soulmate, my lover, my companion, my confidant, my inspiration, my person, my closest friend," Basetsana says of Romeo.

Romeo also wrote a beautiful poem in which she expressed her love for Basetsana and thanked her for her beauty.

The Kumalos are the parents of three children. Nkosinathi Gabriel, born in 2005, and Emmanuel Kumalo, born in 2012, are their two sons. They had their third child, a baby girl named Bontle ba Morena Jasmine Kumalo, in 2014.

The couple owns and operates a number of enterprises together.

Mpoomy Ledwaba and Brandon


Mpoomy and Brendon are the most popular young couple in South Africa.



The couple recently had their first child, a daughter. The child was born in the year 2018.

Nuri Lethabo Ledwaba is her name, and they recently welcomed a new family member.

Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha


Nqubeko and Ntokozo Mbatha, award-winning artists, are love embodied.

In 2015, their love for each other earned them the silver "I do" Awards.

In 2008, they married. While singing in South Africa's largest Gospel choir, Joyous Celebration, the two began dating. When Ntokozo decided to go solo years later, she chose Nqubeko as her producer, despite the fact that they were not married at the time.

For all of their years together, Ntokozo has complimented Nqubeko for never breaking her heart.
 
 


"Thank you for never bringing me to cry tears of despair or heartbreak during the last ten years, instead making me cry tears of joy and laughter. In honor of their ten-year wedding anniversary, Ntokozo wrote to Nqubeko, "I love you forever & always."

Friendship is the key to their happy marriage.

The adorable couple is the proud parents of two girls.


Gail and Kabelo Mabalane


Kabelo is married to the lovely Gail Mabalane, and their love for one another is truly inspirational.

Because they're both performers, they've managed to turn their own love lives into a romantic love story for all to see.

Khumo and Zoe, their two lovely children, are their pride and joy.

Bontle Modiselle and Priddy Ugly 


Modiselle married Priddy Ugly, a rapper she met in 2009.

They announced they're expecting their first child on August 19, 2019, via social media pictures revealing Modiselle's baby bump. This news was accompanied by a music video titled 'Bonita,' which translates to 'beautiful' in Portuguese.

In a traditional African wedding in September 2019, the pair said their vows to one other. In the same year, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Afrika Bonita Lerato Moloi.


Bontle is known for making movies with her boyfriend, Priddy Ugly, and the two appear to be having a fantastic time dancing together.

All of these superstars demonstrate that real love is something that should never be taken for granted.
