Distruction Boyz want #GqomIsTheFuture to the be the soundtrack of the festive season

Social media's favourite Gqom duo, the Distruction Boyz have been teasing an album on social media for weeks now and today, we finally have a release date. 

21-year-old Thobani ‘Cue’ Mgobhozi and 22-year-old Zipho ‘Gold’ Mthembu or Distruction Boyz as they are popularly known are Gqom DJ’s and producers from Kwa-Mashu, who are also the SAMA-nominated masterminds behind 'Wololo' and 'Shut Up & Groove.'

Come Friday, 20th October 2017, we'll all be able to purchase/ download the much anticipated Distruction Boyz album titled #GqomIsTheFuture. Fans can already pre-order it on iTunes by clicking here

Gqom is a dark and hypnotic club sound from Durban that has taken the world by storm and Distruction Boyz aims to make history... 

... With the help of their fans the duo aims to become the first to release a Gqom album that will go on to reach gold status in a record amount of time. 

“It feels like a dream to finally get such a rare opportunity to release our debut album. God has been amazing but we cannot forget our supporters from all over Mzansi. Thank you for the support - we do this for you”  said Gold in a statement. 

“The festive season officially kicks starts this Friday and we hope bra God extends December with 3 more days because there will be a lot of dancing this summer. Thank you to all the people who inspire us, support us and work with us - without you, there would be no Distruction Boyz. Please get the album iyashisa haiboo" added Cue excitedly.
