TV and Radio personality Lamiez Holworthy was honoured at the South African Heroine Awards. She recently took to Instagram to celebrate and thank the awards for honouring her.

"Thank you so much @heroinesawards for deeming me worthy of such a prestigious award. Thank you for reminding me why I do what I do. That I am not crazy for working and striving for greatness- not only for myself but for those who look up to and depend on me," she wrote.
She also thanked the beneficiaries of her foundation for the support. Lamiez has been working hard to help the less fortunate. She previously took to Twitter to share that her plans of building a home were being delayed by the municipality.
She tweeted: "It’s been months n I have a deadline ya Christmas and 30 kids who need that home. I hate it here!"
She said those who depend on her always remind her that she is a beacon of hope.
"To the beneficiaries of the Lamiez Holworthy Foundation, thank you for being patient with me, for trusting me with your lives, and pushing me to fight even harder. Thank you for reminding me why I am a beacon of hope for the average child Ko Kasi. Here’s to breaking more barriers, living our best lives, and changing a life or two."
She also thanked her mom for believing in her dreams and supporting her in fulfilling them, "To my mom, @imeldak20 thank you for all that you do for me, all the sacrifices mom’s made and believing and pushing me as much as you do. Unfortunate that I couldn’t be there but I’m glad that mom was able to accept it on my behalf. All that I am is because of you!" black child you are worthy," she wrote concluding her lengthy heartwarming Instagram post.
MaMkhize is another TV personality who also took to Instagram to appreciated her SA Heroine award. The reality TV star and businesswoman was honoured for her contribution to community development and sports.
"What an epic evening room full of powerful women. A big thank you to the Heroines Awards for bestowing such a great honour on me for my contribution to community development and sports. I am humbled by this award and more so for celebrating me whilst I’m still alive," she wrote.
She said she had a great time at the awards ceremony and she is humbled, "I had such a fabulous time last night, it was great being in the company of other brown skin QUEENS looking to make a difference in the world. The journey to get here has not been easy but moments like last night sure make it worth it. I’m truly humbled,"
