Speedsta who is known for always expressing his opinions and never mincing his words, despite receiving backlash from the masses said Costa Titch, has the best album in 2020. His tweet might have ruffled the feathers of Cassper, who caught wind of it.

This follows after Speedsta took to Twitter to explain what he meant about his statement after saying he saw Cassper's response which is not public.

In a series of tweets, the Metro FM DJ said he was not trying to offend Cassper with his tweet, "Yo @casspernyovest I just saw the replies (Yours specifically) About my tweet saying Costa is the hottest, etc... I wasn’t trying to offend you in any way. I got mad love for you! Will call you & T Lee in the morning."

He further explained why he said Costa has the best album in 2020. "Costa’ credit everybody on the album, because everybody on his album HOT!!!! Small, VERY SMALL EXAMPLE BEN FILLED THE CLUB UP (3 Days of Marketing) & he put the line up together easy because he produces all their stuff. Everybody performing there! Do YOU know BEN?"

This year a number of SA artists dropped their projects and the list includes Cassper Nyovest, who released his album Any Minute Now (AMG) which has been getting rave reviews. The multi-award-winning rapper released his album in September and it has been topping charts.

The 21-track album was inspired by the then much-anticipated arrival of his bundle of joy Khutso and it is a diverse, high-energy album with love songs, all testament to Cassper’s growth.

The album boasts astounding features with the likes of U.S R&B crooner Anthony Hamilton, Kwaito legend Zola, Samthing Soweto, Langa Mavuso, Tellaman, Youngsta CPT, Busiswa, Nadia Nakai, and his homeboys from Mahikeng; Khuli Chana, Tuks, Momolemi, Towdee Mac, DJ Lemonka and the late HHP.

Cassper recently said “This album is everything to me, I have worked with the best of artists, they each brought their magic to this album. Zola is an iconic artist, I looked up to him as a young boy growing up in the North West, little did I know I would share the same studio and make magic with him. The biggest prize is my family, I am going to be a father and that is a huge blessing. I look forward to it…’

Another artist who also recently released his album is Nasty C, and he made it clear to ZAlebs that he was not competing with anyone. DJ Speedsta also shaded his album calling it sh*t.
