Emtee is one of the most lauded Trap Hip-Hop artists in South Africa. A fact which is now considered undisputed as he has been crowned the King of Hooks. As such, the Hip-Hop artist has also affirmed that his hooks are so lauded that he charges more for a hook than verse feature.

However, in recent years, while Emtee’s career has been flourishing, the matter of his lack of management has been a point of criticism that has continually been highlighted. However, it now seems that Emtee could care less as he affirmed that he is his own manager.

Emtee is his own manager
Taking to his social media, Emtee first confirmed that there was allegedly a scammer posing as his “manager” who was accepting money to book him to perform. In the tweet in question, Emtee shared his official statement on the matter by writing that:
“There’s a gentleman by the name Thabang/Thabani going around claiming to be my manager. He was just a driver and I(/)We no longer work with him, so please don’t give him money/ bookings etc.”
Emtee then went on to assert again that he does not have a manager. A fact which when questioned as to whether his wife was his manager then. Emtee seemed to take offence as he questioned the since deleted post as to what exactly his wife would be managing.
Moreover, Emtee who is the CEO of his record company, Emtee Records. An independent record label he started after getting out of his messy and allegedly exploitative deal with Ambitiouz Records. The Roll Up hit maker made it clear that he is not only his own manager, but he is the talent and CEO of his overall career.
His assertions on his management come off the back of the excitement from his fans and Hip-Hop heads in general as Emtee has asserted that he is working on his next studio album D.I.Y 3. Excitement for the album is at an all time hight as Emtee confirmed a Blxckie collaboration.
Moreover, in light of the promotional campaign ahead of his album’s release, fans at the request of the Trap artist have been sending their submissions for the coverart of the album.
However, Emtee is not the first to take to social media to expose an alleged scammer from his camp that he has parted with. Before Emtee, fellow rapper, Cassper Nyovest took to social media to confirm the end of the working relationship between himself and his road manager.
Rapper Cassper Nyovest has take social media with a statement announcing an end to a work relationship with his road manager, Tshepo Seone. The statement urges all promoters and brands to refrain from making any communications with the fired manager.

Ahead of his much anticipated Fill Up Mmabatho Stadium music concert, Cassper Nyovest has and all his companies he is involved with have cut ties with brand manager, Tshepo Seone.
