Songbird Lady Zamar has won the praise of fans all over the country after posting a make-up free video on her Instagram page
What's more is that the singer's acne is on full display in the clip, of which she is seen singing her latest single Dangerous Love from her new album Monarch.
And fans have nothing but praise for her bold move.
"Not even acne on your face is going to bring your spirit down", "raw and natural" and "I applaud you for showing your skin" were some of the responses to the video left by loyal fans in the comments section.
Lady Zamar, who is often spotted with a full face of makeup, has been candid about her struggles with acne in the past
In her Instagram Stories, Lady Zamar revealed her first acne breakout was at the age 9 - claims her skin issues have affected relationships, friendships, and even her engagement on social media.
"The first thing that goes is your self-esteem. People expect me to be perfect, but the fact is I'm not. I'm going through the roughest period of my life with this acne," she said.
But in the midst of it, Zamar - who also reveals she is seeking treatment from professionals - shares a message of hope with her fans
She defiantly adds; "I'm never going to hide who I am, no matter what people say. I's not the end of the world for me."
Last month, Lady Zamar hit back at fellow singer Babes Wodumo who shamed the Idols SA guest judge for having acne. The viral video caused outrage in Mzansi and led to calls to boycott Babes.
Although Lady Zamar revealed she was deeply hurt by the clip, she claimed she did not need an apology from the gqom singer.
She told Drum magazine; “What she said might’ve hurt me, but it doesn’t define me, we get up and do better things, choose to be better people.
"If more people cared about being good people, the world would be such a better place."
