This year has been one of the most challenging years to us all through this I realized and saw first hand just how much help is needed. Just how much the next person needs another and just how much our children need us. Our children need us the most where their voices are often unheard and their needs at times overlooked but they too have championed on through adversity. Children are relentless, their eyes are filled with hope and their hearts filled with love. This is why I’ve taken it upon myself to create @lindamtobafoundation that will give power to those little voices unheard that will be of aid to those who need support to overcome challenges or to help them reach their full potential. It takes a village to raise a child, I hope many children will feel our foundation is door they can always knock on. We’re here to help, we’re here to love & we’re here to care. I care.

The foundation will create opportunities that will allow children to participate in making decisions that affect their lives.

Linda is not the only personality who has launched a foundation, Somizi Mhlongo Motaung and his husband Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo launched their own foundation, the Somhale Foundation during the lockdown to help disadvantaged families.

Through their foundation, the couple donated 400 food Makro vouchers to the value of R500. They donated to families in Freedom Park, an informal settlement in Ekurhuleni.

Announcing the launch of their foundation on social media, the famous couple shared  “We came up with this amazing idea where we decided to start a foundation, and we call it the Somhale Foundation, and our aim is to make this world a better place one person at a time.”
Rapper Boity has also launched their own foundation to be able to continue the charitable work she does on social media.

“I’ve finally plucked up the courage. I pray that this foundation positively transforms lives for many years to come!”.

The foundation is aimed at addressing the challenges faced by the women and youth of South Africa, due to the increasing economic pressure imposed on them during the time of COVID-19.
