Actress Linda Mtoba has announced on social media that she has created the Linda Mtoba Foundation to give assistance to those who need it most, that is children, who are the future.

Linda shared how she realised how much help is needed during this challenging year that has been 2020.
"This year has been one of the most challenging years to us all through this I realized and saw first-hand just how much help is needed. Just how much the next person needs another and just how much our children need us," wrote Linda
The COVID-19 pandemic has left many South African in an unfortunate situation with some losing income due to job losses and salary cuts that have taken place during the lockdown season.
The lockdown period has seen numerous Mzansi personalities and organizations have reached into their pockets to give to those in need during these challenging times.
The Linda Mtoba Foundation according to the actress post "will l give power to those little voices unheard that will be of aid to those who need support to overcome challenges or to help them reach their full potential"
The aim of the foundation is to "empower children and enable them to live with dignity, where they are always safe, nurtured and their voices are heard."
The foundation will create opportunities that will allow children to participate in making decisions that affect their lives.
Linda is not the only personality who has launched a foundation, Somizi Mhlongo Motaung and his husband Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo launched their own foundation, the Somhale Foundation during the lockdown to help disadvantaged families.
Through their foundation, the couple donated 400 food Makro vouchers to the value of R500. They donated to families in Freedom Park, an informal settlement in Ekurhuleni.
Announcing the launch of their foundation on social media, the famous couple shared “We came up with this amazing idea where we decided to start a foundation, and we call it the Somhale Foundation, and our aim is to make this world a better place one person at a time.”
Rapper Boity has also launched their own foundation to be able to continue the charitable work she does on social media.
“I’ve finally plucked up the courage. I pray that this foundation positively transforms lives for many years to come!”.
The foundation is aimed at addressing the challenges faced by the women and youth of South Africa, due to the increasing economic pressure imposed on them during the time of COVID-19.
